On Saturday afternoon 2/25/17, members of Mohegan FD's FAS-Team were invited to a luncheon at the The Emerald Peek Rehabilitation & Nursing Center (previous West Ledge Healthcare Facility) on Main St in the City of Peekskill. Peekskill Volunteer Fire Department, Montrose FD, Continental Village FD, Buchanan FD, Peekskill VAC, Montrose VA FD, along with Mohegan FD were all invited to attend this event. The staff of the nursing home, the mayor of the City of Peekskill, and Peekskill FD Chief Vincent Malaspina thanked all the members of the above mentioned departments for their efforts forged at a structure fire at this facility on December 2, 2016 inside the nursing home. New York State Senator Terrence Murphy's office was also on hand and presented each agency with a Proclamation. We thank the nursing home for their generous hospitality and lunch and dessert spread!
