At 4:37pm on Friday 8/11/17, Mohegan FD, Mohegan Volunteer Fire Association Volunteer Ambulance Corps, and Yorktown/Empress Emergency Medical Services Paramedics, and New York State Police responded to a motor vehicle accident with injuries on the Taconic State Pkwy northbound at mile marker 18.4, just south of Exit 19 (Rt 132). Upon arrival, a 2 car accident was found with 1 patient. The patient was transported by Mohegan EMS 69B1 to NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Mohegan FD units assisted with traffic control by blocking 2 lanes of traffic for a safe scene for members to operate. Members also mitigated fluids in the roadway and requested New York State Department of Transportation for guardrail damage. Mohegan FD Car 2261, 2263, Engine 253, and Engine 258 operated on scene. All units cleared the scene by 5:20pm and turned the scene over to NYSP.
