On Monday morning 12/16/24, Mohegan FD responded to numerous incidents just over a 2 hours span. These incidents occurred as the area was cleaning up from a few inches of snowfall overnight. The incidents were:

1) 8:26am: Wires Down on Old Oregon Rd. Car 2263, 2267, Engine 254, Rescue 32 handled. Cable line only, no hazard.

This burn ban prohibits the starting of outdoor fires statewide for purposes of brush and debris disposal, as well as un-contained campfires, and open fires used for cooking.

On Tues night 11/12/24 at 11:55pm, Mohegan FD was dispatched to Waterbury Pkwy in Cortlandt for reported smoke in the house. Upon arrival of units a few minutes after dispatch, smoke and heavy fire was visible. The 10-75 was struck (working structure fire assignment).
