On Monday 12/18/23, Mohegan FD responded to numerous weather related incidents due to a powerful storm that brought extremely heavy rain and high winds to the region. Numerous roads were also impassable due to flooding and/or trees down. Here is a quick recap of our call volume today.

1) 12:30am: Commercial Fire Alarm- Croton Ave. Car 2266, 2269, Engine 253, Engine 256, Ladder 10, Rescue 32 assigned.

2) 5:23am: Mutual Aid for Montrose FD to assist with Road Closure- Watch Hill Rd at our fire district line due to tree/electric lines down. Car 2266, Engine 253, Engine 255 assigned.

3) 6:33am: Tree and Electric Wires Down- Lexington Ave. Car 2262, 2263, 2267, 2269, Engine 256, Engine 258, Rescue 32, Utility 80 assigned.

4) 6:51am: Commercial Fire Alarm- East Main St. Car 2262, 2267, Engine 253, Engine 255, Ladder 10, Utility 80 assigned.

5) 7:04am: Motor Vehicle Accident with Injuries (Car vs Downed Tree)- Bear Mountain Pkwy Extension and Stony St. Car 2262, 2266, 2267, 2269, Engine 253, Engine 256, Rescue 32, Utility 80, Mohegan EMS 69B2, Cortlandt Paramedic 35M1, and New York State Police assigned.
