Engine 256 Responds to Working Fire

On Monday morning 1/15/24 at approximately 8:45am, Mohegan FD was requested to assist the Continental Village FD at the scene of a 2nd Alarm Working Structure Fire on Roa Hook Rd (Route 9) in Cortlandt. Mohegan FD quickly responded to this fire with reports of people trapped. Mohegan FD Car 2263, 226-42, 2269, 226-10, and Engine 256 responded to the fire. Mohegan FD arrived on scene and began searches on the floors above the fire. After conducting searches Mohegan Firefighters then assisted with fire suppression and overhaul efforts. Mohegan FD remained on scene for approximately 2 hours before being released by command. Other agencies assisting Continental Village FD on scene were Peekskill FD, Montrose Veterans Affairs Hospital FD, Putnam Valley FD, Croton FD, Yorktown Heights FD, Buchanan FD, North Highlands FD, Cold Spring FD, Garrison FD, Fort Montgomery FD, Stony Point FD, Cortlandt Regional Paramedics, Peekskill EMS, Verplanck FD EMS, Garrison EMS, Westchester County Department of Emergency Services, New York State Police and Westchester County Police Department.
