On Friday morning March 21, 2025 at 7:36am, Mohegan FD (volunteer and career) was requested to respond to the scene of 2nd alarm residential structure fire on Loomis are in Somers. Mohegan FD Car 2262, 2264, 2266, and Ladder 10 responded to the scene of this mutual aid ladder request. Upon arrival, Ladder 10 was requested to take the front of the residence behind Mahopac FD Tower Ladder 18-5-1 and set up its aerial to assist with defensive fire operations from this heavily involved structure fire. In total, 4 aerial trucks from Somers FD, Mohegan FD, Mahopac FD, and Carmel FD assisted in knocking down the fire. Mohegan FD units remained on scene assisting until being released by Somers FD command. Also assisting on scene were Yorktown FD, Bedford Hills FD, Croton Falls FD, Goldens Bridge FD, Katonah FD, Mahopac FD, Mahopac Falls FD, Carmel FD, Somers EMS, Putnam County Bureau of Emergency Services, and Westchester County Dept of Emergency Services.
