At 12:02pm on Tues 4/19/16, Mohegan Fire was dispatched to the intersection of Lexington Avenue and Amazon Road in the Mohegan Lake section for reported car fire. Upon arrival of units, a working car fire was found on Amazon Rd, just in from Lexington Ave. Active fire was located in the engine compartment of this vehicle, which was in the roadway. One 1 3/4" hoseline was quickly stretched from Engine 255 and members quickly knocked down the fire. Members also had to gain access to the engine compartment to fully extinguish the fire. Operating on scene were Car 2264, 2265, Engine 254, Engine 255, Rescue 32, and Yorktown Police. All Mohegan Fire units cleared by 12:40pm. Photos are courtesy of Capt Gravius.
