Memorial Page
Firefighting is always a dangerous business. No matter how cautious and careful a firefighter is, there are always underlying dangers associated with his or her duties. We, the citizens of the Lake Mohegan Fire District, serving Mohegan Lake, Cortlandt Manor, Crompond, Jefferson Valley, Shrub Oak and Yorktown owe a great debt of gratitude to the 3 Mohegan Volunteer Firefighters who gave their lives in the line of duty while serving our community. We must also remember all the other deceased members of the Mohegan Volunteer Fire Association for their services over the years to this community.
