On Sunday morning 10/2/22 at approximately 8:30am, Mohegan FD was dispatched to Go er St in Yorktown for a reported attached garage fire. Upon arrival of units, fire was visible in he garage area and units struck the 10-75 ( Working Fire assignment) for 1st alarm units. Yorktown FD Rescue 16 and Utility 83 responded as the FAS-Team, Mahopac Falls FD Chief 19-1-1, 19-1-3, and Rescue 19-6-1 responded as a Cascade. The fire was knocked down quickly with a 1 3/4” hoseline from Engine 255 and Engine 256 supplied a 5” supply hoseline from a nearby hydrant. Mohegan EMS 69B3 and Peekskill EMS 7506/Rehab also stoodby on scene. Also assisting units were Westchester County Dept of Emergency Seevices Battalion 10 and Cause and Origin Team, Yorktown PD, Yorktown Building Dept, and Con Edison Electric. Peekskill FD and Montrose FD relocated and stoodby at Mohegan FD’s Headquarters for additional calls. Mohegan FD units on scene were Car 2261, 2262, 2263, 226-29, 2265, 2266, 2267, 2269, 226-10, Engine 255, Engine 256, Ladder 35, Rescue 32, Utility 50, and Utility 80. |
